About The Therapist

team

After graduating from Wake Technical Community College of Raleigh, NC in the Spring of 2014, I became a Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) in Georgia and moved there for a year. In 2015 I moved back to North Carolina and became a Licensed Massage and Bodywork Therapist (LMBT).

In 2016, I studied with Shoshanna Dibetta at The Healing Arts and Massage School to receive certification in Restorative Hot Stone with Deep Tissue Massage. In 2018 I studied with Josh Maka with Elite CME and became certified in Cupping Massage Therapy. In 2019, I received training from Odilia Forlenza at the North Carolina Reiki Training Center and became certified in Reiki 1 and 2. In 2022, I trained at the Norton School of Lymphatic Drainage and became a Certified Lymphedema Therapist (CLT), which enables me to perform Complete/Complex Decongestive Physiotherapy (CDP) including Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) Massage.

I have been an adjunct instructor at Gwinnett College where I thoroughly enjoy introducing others to the wonderful field of Massage Therapy and all that this career entails!

My strengths are cognitive empathy and knowing when to incorporate other modalities into a session to accommodate my client's needs.

My goal is to help as many people as I can through energy, massage & body work therapy. I love being a care giver and having a positive impact on the lives of others.

What My Clients Say

My wife and I were visiting Raleigh for our anniversary and booked LeOnnie for a massage. She was fantastic! She is very accommodating to whatever style and pressure you prefer. I would highly recommend!

You have not had a massage unless you have had a massage by LeOnnie. She asked me what I wanted to focus on and what my goals were for the session and actually LISTENED to my needs. She also felt where my body was tense and tight and told me. She also gave me tips to help keep my muscles stretched during the day. She also massaged other muscles that other therapists have missed.

If you are looking for a skilled, dedicated, hard-working massage therapist, LeOnnie Brathwaite is the one. LeOnnie has an innate ability to ferret out the details about what ails you. Through her own assessment, as well as client-directed questions, LeOnnie can quickly get a good read on sore joints and other tight areas that need attention. She is a very good listener who doesn’t need to be told twice about where help is needed. LeOnnie is versatile and can work effectively in anything ranging from a chair massage to an assortment of modalities on a massage table. What I find most remarkable is that she can really turn up the volume, so to speak, working tight areas with fists and elbows if that is what required, yet can also be quite delicate where delicacy is required. And finally, if you are one who likes to talk during a massage, LeOnnie is a very good conversationalist. If you like quiet, she can let her fingers speak for her certainly. But when a therapist and client are together for 60-90 minutes, connection is important, whether that connection is through conversation or not. My hour and a half with LeOnnie is always one of the highlights of my week.
